CQC

The Care Quality Commission (CQC), is a non-departmental public body of the UK government, responsible for the regulation and inspection of health and social services in England.

The CQC is an independent body which bases its’ actions on high quality evidence. Its’ work brings together independent regulation of health, mental health and adult social care. It supersedes the Health Care Commission, the Mental Health Act Commission and the Commission for Social Care Inspection, all of which no longer exist.
