Celebrating 25 Years of Service

Today we celebrated Kelvin & Linda’s loyal service, they were presented with a watch by one of our Main Board of Directors.

Linda joined TRU 25 years ago as a trainee coach, moving quickly through the ranks becoming an assistant manager and then community manager. Linda and Kelvin was involved in a educational visit to a facility in Texas, learning and contributing in a skills exchange. Over the past 10 years Linda has been training co-ordinator.

Linda says “Life at TRU is like being on a roller coaster and we are all taking the ride together. We all share the frustrations, achievements, the success and losses that go with rehabilitation. We have made a lot of friends over the year and sadly lost a few who we fondly remember”

I have enjoyed every moment and could not imagine myself working anywhere else but TRU.

Kelvin Joined TRU on the  8th June 1992 as a Rehabilitation Coach over the years Kelvin became a Manager of Lyme House, more recently he has become a Vocational Instructor for the A team!

Kelvin says ” June 8th 1992 I started on a three month trial.  25 years later I’m still waiting to hear if I got the job permanently haha  I’ve had several positions within the company, all of which I have enjoyed and I have also worked across all units and feel I have gained valuable experience. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and client’s I have worked with over the years…..here’s to the next 25″
